Sunny was born in China during the Cultural Revolution.  From an early age he displayed a natural talent for visual arts and music. He started painting at the age of three. At fourteen he was selected to study composition and vocals at Shenyang Conservatory of Music. By the age of nineteen Sunny was a successful musician. His creative talent led him to filmmaking.

Sunny is a passionate filmmaker. He understands the latest tools and technology. His creative nature, visual sensibilities, musical training, storytelling and multicultural background set him apart from other directors. His recent credits include Walmart, Geico "Kash," and Alliance for Climate Protection "Free Us."

He is currently working on his first feature film.
