Gift

“Gift”, a full-length feature film, tells an extraordinary tale of love, tragedy, and friendship. A mysterious piano connects two children from opposite sides of the world, leading to a journey of a lifetime in pursuit of truth and the love of music.

Abigail Phillips is an American farm girl who grows up to become a world-renowned pianist. Behind her success there is a secret. When Abigail is 10 years old, she stumbles upon a mysterious piano on her father's farm. As the mystery of the piano begins to unravel, its origin is far beyond anyone could have ever imagined.

Belt and Road

Our Director Sunny Zhao was selected out of several other international directors to direct BELT AND ROAD, a ninety-second promo film involving hundreds of cast and crew, filmed throughout Europe and Asia. Sunny’s way of telling stories without words, his ability to speak both Chinese and English fluently, and his understanding and appreciation of different cultures all played an essential role in the success of the project.

The video was played during the opening of the Belt and Road Initiative summit in May 2017, which was attended by over sixty-eight world leaders. It is currently airing on CCTV (China's largest television network), as well as broadcast outlets across the globe.

dreams factory wins gold for hunter and dog

Director Sunny Zhao and Dreams Factory won the Gold Award in Best Overall at the 2018 Richmond Show for "Hunter & Dog," a television commercial which tells the beautiful story of the bond and trust between a man and his dog, featuring the new Toyota TRD 4x4 pickup truck.

Eyes of the Future

Eyes of the Future is a thirty second TV commercial produced for Conexus for Healthy Vision. Director and Cinematographer Sunny Zhao developed the creative concept and script in this emotionally moving spot to visually express the mission and goals of Conexus. Conexus provides vision testing and glasses for students who may not be able to afford otherwise.

Feel the Moment is a beautiful spot concepted, directed, and shot by Sunny Zhao, promoting the fashion industry.

Main Street Station "connects us together"

The "Connects Us Together" video was produced over a period of four years to show the progress and positive impact that the revitalization of Richmond's iconic and historic Main Street Station will have on the city and residents of Richmond VA.

Jeep Seeker, Visitor and Throw Back 90's are individual TV commercials each produced for three different multi-spot campaigns.

Rest of Time

Rest of Time is one of two music videos produced for the singing duo McBeth. It was concepted, directed and shot by Sunny Zhao. Director Zhao created a visual story about love withstanding the test of time. The music video combines live action footage, elements shot in camera against green screen, and visual effects added during post production to create an abstract under water world.

Print n Play

Print ‘n Play was shot with Dreams Factory’s Phantom Super High Speed Camera. Through the use of slo-motion photography the poker chips, playing cards, bingo markers, bingo cards, pencils and crossword puzzles were captured colliding in mid air.
