Eyes of the Future is a thirty second TV commercial produced for Conexus for Healthy Vision. Director and Cinematographer Sunny Zhao developed the creative concept and script in this emotionally moving spot to visually express the mission and goals of Conexus.
Conexus provides vision testing and glasses for students who may not be able to afford otherwise. They strive to help lesser-advantaged children overcome perceived learning difficulties due to lack of proper vision diagnosis. We’re extremely pleased to partner with Conexus and their staff to help spread their important message and services.
Print ‘n Play was shot with Dreams Factory’s Phantom Super High Speed Camera. Through the use of slo-motion photography the poker chips, playing cards, bingo markers, bingo cards, pencils and crossword puzzles were captured as they collided in mid air. Those game pieces represent The Virginia Lottery’s revised Print ‘n Play tickets for Blackjack, Bingo, and Crossword.
The Virginia Lottery Print n’ Play tickets are a new upgrade to previous games. They give players an option to participate in lottery games beyond scratch off tickets. The Virginia Lottery is a great client with a worthwhile goal of providing funding to support the Virginia school system.
Virginia Lottery Throw Back Decades
The Throw Back Decades campaign for The Virginia Lottery consists of three spots representing the 1970’s, 80’s and 90’s. The goal of the campaign is to attract new and younger players to the most recent Virginia Lottery scratcher games. The campaign highlights iconic moments from each decade through the use of live action, animation and original music.
Virginia Lottery Grillin' Season Campaign
This campaign promotes the new summertime Grillin’ Season scratch off tickets from The Virginia Lottery. Dreams Factory produced four thirty second commercials plus viral videos for the campaign. The commercials feature actors dressed in meat costumes avoiding avid grillers on the chase. The spots were filmed over a period of one week in various locations with a cast and crew over one hundred.
This music video 125 Pounds for recording artist McBeth was concepted, directed and shot entirely by Sunny Zhao. Based on the song lyrics for 125 Pounds, the video shows a young mother and her son’s challenging time while the mother’s husband is off to war.
Rest of Time was also concepted, directed and shot by Sunny Zhao. Sunny created a visual story about love withstanding the test of time. The music video combines live action footage of the performers, elements shot in camera against green screen, and visual effects added during post production to create an abstract under water world.
This Emmy Award nominated PSA encourages viewers to use the Richmond Crime Stoppers’ toll free anonymous tip line to report a crime. A variety of actors perform in scenes showing criminal activity witnessed by Q Man. Q Man represents anonymity for those witnesses who wish to report a crime. We’re proud to support Richmond Crime Stoppers in their worthwhile cause.
Rough neighborhood is one spot of a two commercial series for The Virginia Lottery’s newest scratcher tickets. The tickets offer chances to win a new Jeep Rubicon, or more. This spot shows a couple leaving home on their way out for early morning errands as a sleepy neighbor watches them put their brand new Jeep Rubicon’s 4 wheel drive to it's best use in their front yard. The off road course was built with granite boulders trucked in and stacked in the front yard on location.
The Chase is a thirty second television commercial designed to attract new players to The Virginia Lottery. The Chase entices players to use The Virginia Lottery’s newly introduced mobile device game app to follow in-app maps and clues leading to Jeep Rubicons strategically hidden throughout Virginia. The spot is entirely live action shot in camera with visual effects added during post production to represent the feel of a video game.
Split Screen is an Emmy Award Nominated television commercial produced for Children’s Hospital at VCU. The spot features Children’s Hospital’s young Leukemia patient Campbell. Campbell’s biggest desire in life is to become a nurse like nurse Kathy, who was Campbell’s caretaker throughout her treatments. Campbell possesses a happy and positive attitude that proved uplifting to the entire crew and all of us at Dreams Factory. We’re proud to work with Campbell and the entire staff of Children’s Hospital at VCU to promote their mission and their state of the art facility.
Blanket Fort is an Emmy Award Winning spot for Children's Hospital at VCU. The spot features Annie who is a Cystic Fibrosis patient undergoing treatment through Children’s Hospital. The spot highlights her dream of becoming an architect. Annie is a very positive and admirable little girl little and a real pleasure to work with.
Feel the Moment is a beautiful spot promoting Richmond Fashion Week. This spot was also concepted, directed and shot by Sunny Zhao. Fashion Week is an annual event promoting the burgeoning fashion industry in Virginia that Dreams Factory is proud to promote.
